I'm a software engineer based in Nairobi, Kenya. At IOTA, I lead work on notarization, audit trails, and proof of inclusion. That includes Rust infrastructure for constructing and verifying proofs, plus libraries, command-line tools, and WebAssembly and TypeScript APIs for developers.

My earlier work includes an Ethereum-compatible execution client at Bitfinity Network and backend services at LaunchAI. I also designed low-latency Solana RPC infrastructure for Tideblock. Through Shariff Consultancy, I build and operate Shipzen and PrismPOS, bringing product requirements through architecture, release, and production support.

When I'm not immersed in code, you'll often find me:

• Sipping on a warm cup of Earl Grey tea
• Tinkering with Arduino-based hobby projects
• Taking refreshing swims in the nearby ocean

I enjoy the space between low-level systems work and practical software: understanding how things behave, then making them dependable for the people who use them. I write about parts of that process on this site.
